Abubakari Iddrisu, a 47-year-old driver was on Monday fined GH¢150 by a circuit court at Cape Coast for careless and inconsiderate driving.
He pleaded guilty and was convicted on his own plea.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Hope Azasoo told the court presided over by Mr Richard Asiedu-Badu, that on April 26 last year, the complainant in the case was driving his Nissan Pick-Up from Accra towards Takoradi.
He said on reaching a section of the road on the Cape Coast- Takoradi highway near the second ridge junction in Cape Coast, Iddrisu who had parked his Datsun Pick-Up by the roadside, suddenly moved the vehicle and made a "U" turn without observing traffic, and as a result the complainant's vehicle ran into his vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles.
