The Keepers House Chapel International has organized free health and medical screening exercise for about 1000 people at Madina in Accra to mark its third anniversary.
The programme in collaboration with Radford University College (RUC) is part of their contribution towards improving health care delivery in the area.
As part of the collaboration, RUC provided lab technicians while Keeper’s House provided volunteers for the exercise that attracted dozens of residents, particularly women and children.
The exercise included laboratory examination, medical consultation and provision of drugs after diagnosis, breast screening and blood donation.
Doctors who are members of the church educated the people on the need to avoid unhealthy lifestyles and to report to health facilities for early treatment of all ailments.
Speaking at the event, General Overseer of the Keeper's House Chapel International, Reverend Francis Williams Aubyn underscored the need for pastors to make soul winning their priority.
According to him, the men of God have more responsibility to transform the moral character of the people to equip them for better use in the country.
He noted that, the lack of Christ-like Christians in the system has led to many forms of corruptible attitudes hindering socio- economic development of Ghana.
Rev. Aubyn urged men of God not to concern on money but rather focus on their core mandate of winning souls.
President of Radford University, Dr. Paul Effah said the exercise was part of activities that demonstrate the university’s commitment to its social responsibility.
He said the university believed in using practical academic knowledge in addressing problems in society, adding that training institutions need to practice what they teach.
He assured the church of the university’s commitment to the partnership, saying it offers them the opportunity to do more for their host communities.
