Zaytuna F/C moved to the top of the Division One League (DOL) Football Middle League table after they defeated Kpone Fair Point 1-0 in their match played at the Legon Park.
Ironically it was Fair point who piled up early pressure on their opponents but their attackers failed to find the net as they fumbled in front of goal.
Zaytuna quickly repulsed the attack and went ahead to score the only goal of the match in the 29th minute through enterprising lead striker Frank Boateng.
Stephen Tetteh nearly got the equaliser for Fair Point three minutes later but he also fumbled in front of goal with his shot missing the target.
Fair Point threw everything into the game but the defence of Zaytuna stood their grounds and refused to give any room for them to cause any havoc as they held in check till the end of proceedings.
Zaytuna by the win have brightened their chances of qualifying to participate in the 2007/2008 Premier League.
