Members of Okwahuman Association in Netherlands made up of Kwahu citizens resident in Holland have rehabilitated Tomo-Ni Orphanage Home at Obomeng, in Kwahu South District, at a cost of 12,000 Ghana cedis.
They painted the entire building, rehabilitated the floor, kitchen and constructed six water closets.
Mr Kwame Simpeh Junior, Organizing Secretary of the association speaking at the inauguration of the first phase of the rehabilitation, said it was undertaken following an appeal from management of the Home.
He said the project had not been completed and more funds would be mobilized to complete it next year.
Nana Obeng Akrofi, Chief of Obomeng, commended the association for its assistance and appealed to other Kwahu citizens resident outside the country to contribute towards the Home.
Mr Sammy Simpeh, a citizen of Obomeng appealed to the association to assist Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital with medical equipment to ensure quality health care delivery.
Mr Benjamin Amankwa, Manager of the Home, expressed appreciation to the association for the assistance and urged other Kwahu citizens at home and abroad to contribute towards the Home.
