The Ghana Association of University Administrators and Professionals (GAUA) is saddened by the sudden departure of His Excellency the President, Professor John Evans Fiifi Attah Mills to eternity.
It was shocking and least expected that such an affable, hardworking and unassuming President would leave us so soon, but God knows best.
GAUA extends its heartfelt condolences to the former First Lady, Dr. Naadu Mills, the bereaved family and all members of the National Democratic Congress.
GAUA is encouraged by the level of solidarity that has been exhibited by the leadership of the other political parties towards the death of the father of the nation. We hope such a solidarity, oneness and support would continue till the late President is given a befitting burial.
It is our prayer that the Good Lord grants President John Dramani Mahama the wisdom, courage, and strength to continue with the good works of his predecessor.
On behalf of all Administrators and Professionals of the Public Universities in Ghana I wish the late President, Professor John Attah Mills a peaceful rest.
Joseph Gordon Mensah
(National President – GAUA)
