The Reverend Charles Ahwireng has been inducted into office as the new District pastor of the Kaneshie presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
The chairperson of the Ga Presbytery, Rev. Dr. N.A. Kpobi who inducted him, charged the new minister to teach the congregation to learn the scriptures, which is a strong weapon for every Christian, He said in this era of false prophets and charlatans it is pertinent to arm one's self with the scriptures to stay in tune.
The Rev. Ahwireng said he sees his posting to Kaneshie as a great challenge since it is the largest congregation of the Presbyterian Church. He charged the religious to seek to please only God and not men.
The Rev. Ahwireng was commissioned as a Pastor 35 years ago and has served in various capacity in the Church including being the chaplain of Krobo Odumase Secondary School and the Police Church in Accra.
