Silver Star Auto Ltd (SSAL) has introduced the next generation of the Mercedes-Benz Actros for long-distance haulage and Arocs for construction and special application vehicles unto the market.
The leading automobile dealer held an event last Thursday in Accra to unveil the next generation of the Mercedes-Benz Actros completely reworked inside and out, offering a vehicle that is optimal for long distance transport.
Addressing guests during the launch, Chief Executive Officer of SSAL, Mr Nouhad Kalmoni observed the Mercedes-Benz Actros and Arocs not only enter a new dimension but also set a new benchmark for trucks and trucking operations in Ghana reinforced by Daimler’s constant innovation and commitment to bringing the best trucks on the market.
He further observed that the improved robustness, comfort, fuel efficiency and driving dynamics of the new Actros comes from a new range of 6 Cylinder-in-Line Engines, and a host of Standard equipment featuring standouts like: Mercedes power shift, three automated transmission, air conditioning, push-start button and three cab size variants - each of which comes with several other standard and optional equipment and features.
Mr Kalmoni urged the construction industry to target the Mercedes-Benz Actros and Arocs assuring them that “the purchase of the vehicles from SSAL guarantees stellar after-sales support services and genuine spare parts that come with one year warranty.
He also mentioned that SSAL service centre in Tema ideally located for service convenience, Kumasi branch to serve the northern belt as well as service vans ready to tackle any situation anywhere in the country.
He invited customers to visit SSAL new commercial vehicle show room and offices in Tema to book any of these 3 trucks for a Demo run.
The event brought together top players in the automobile and construction industry.
They include Mr Torsten Bauerheim, Head of Sales & Customer Service, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Daimler Commercial Vehicle; Mr Eric Mougenot, Managing Director, Tractafric Motors and the Deputy Minister for Railway Development, Hon. Kwaku Agyenim-Boateng who was the special guest.
In his address, Mr Torsten Bauerheim endorsed the new trucks for its famous robustness and versatility, high residual values, low downtimes, high spare parts availability and user-friendliness which Mercedes-Benz trucks is known for to give the customer value for money.
“Knowing your environment, extreme climate, rough roads and heavy loads with the tough applications and driver qualifications all together made us invest a lot of research and development to bring customers economic benefits,” he said.
Adding his voice, Mr Eric Mougenot also endorsed the all-new Actros for its efficiency and reliability and the all-new Arocs for its reliability and robustness and expressed optimism the Ghanaian Automobile industry will embrace them.
Special Guest, Hon. Kwaku Agyenim-Boateng observed Mercedes-Benz as a trusted and reliable brand over the years as such the new trucks being unveiled is good news for the industry.
Government, he said, is committed to developing the railway lines in the country and cannot do without the all-new Actros and Arocs.
