The woman, in whose car the bodies of three infants were found in Elmina in the Central Region, is in the grip of the police.
Shiny Amissah Dadziebo is the Proprietress of Holy Wood Preparatory School at Taterim and owns the white Kia Optima saloon car registered CR 234-13.
According to Joy News' Richard Kwadwo Nyarko, Madam Dadziebo told the police in her statement that she parked the car within the walled compound of her school on Friday and didn’t go to the car until Monday.
On Monday morning as she approached her car to take a pupil to the hospital, she saw the bodies in her car and raised the alarm.
The deceased children have been identified as Maame Akua, 6-years; Fii, 5-years and Nana Yaw, 3-years.
Their parents told the police they left home for church on Sunday and never returned.
The windows and windscreen had to be shattered by residents to quickly bring out the children but it was too late.
The bodies have been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital mortuary for autopsy while the police have initiated an inquiry into the case.
Police say they did not see any mark of assault on the bodies of the deceased, an account some residents dispute.
Some persons who spoke to correspondent Richard Kwadwo Nyarko claim they found some parts of their bodies, including their tongues removed.
The grandmother of one of the deceased who reportedly collapsed upon seeing the unpleasant video of the lifeless bodies want the police to get justice for the innocent children.
After her revival from the state of unconsciousness, the elderly woman says she will call on the gods to bring the perpetrators to book.
Meanwhile, the Regional Police Commander, COP Paul Awuni, says they have gathered forensic evidence from the crime scene and are progressing with investigations.
Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has promised the families to give them all the support in the burial of the children.
