Black Stars midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari has pledged his unalloyed commitment for peace in the December elections.
He made the commitment at a meeting with the Vice president John Mahama at the Castle.
The AC Milan star said without peace there will be no football, urging politicians and all to be tolerant and seek peace at all times.
Muntari presented a replica of the UEFA champions league trophy he won with Inter Milan in 2010 as well as an autographed jersey from his new club, AC Milan.
The Vice President John Mahama was full of praise for Muntari and counseled him to show discipline as leader of the Black Stars.
Muntari, in the absence John Mensah captained the Black Stars in their double header World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zambia.
The Vice President hoped Muntari’s new role, however short-lived will encourage him to show a sense of discipline at all times.
