In light of recent chieftaincy happenings within the Wa Municipality, as a proud son and Parliamentary aspirant of my kinsmen, I call on all stakeholders to act in a manner that ensures the total peace and security of the area, which are irreplaceable ingredients in our quest to improve upon the lives of our people.
Having followed keenly the unfortunate assassination attempt and its potential concomitant effects on the stability and peace of the municipality, I deem it my core duty to call for calm amongst residents and urge the security apparatus to do all within their legitimate powers to secure the serenity of the area.
Further, I humbly appeal to my respectable traditional authorities (Wa Traditional Council, Tindambas and Upper West Regional House of Chiefs) to as a matter of urgency work cooperatively to partner with us the political actors in meeting the needs and aspirations of the good people of Wa. This, in my honest opinion and which I believe is shared by all stakeholders, should drive our efforts and energies as Wa still lags behind in matters of health, education, sanitation, youth employment, among others.
I am convinced that all stakeholders will stand together and not allow any form of untoward external interferences as we strive for lasting peace, safety of human lives and property and development. It is in this vein that I would religiously play my part in contributing to this overarching and noble aim to bring smiles on the faces of our children, women, youth and the entire people of Wa.
I stand for peace, please also stand for peace.
