Police in Accra have picked up two suspects in connection with Tuesday’s robbery at the offices of Royal Motors Limited at the Industrial Area in Accra.
The two are believed to have been involved in the incident which saw the robbers bolt with an undisclosed amount of money after snatch three vehicles.
The two were picked up hours after the robbery incident, Police Public Affairs Director, ACP David Eklu told Joy News.
ACP Eklu will not disclose where the two suspects are being held up, assuring they are working to get the rest of the culprits.
He will also not disclose the identities of the suspects arrested.
Few hours after the incident, Public Relations Officer of the Greater-Accra Regional Police disclosed that all two vehicles hijacked during the robbery have been recovered.
ASP Afia Tenge said the recovered vehicles will help the police in their investigation of the crime.
“When they were escaping in their Toyota Corolla that they used for the robbery, they bumped into another car and that caused them to abandon the car.
“They hijacked another car and they absconded in that one but we have recovered all the cars and it will help us in investigations”, she added.
It is not clear yet if the retrieved cars played any role in the arrest of the two suspects.
