International students at Kwame Nkrumah university of Science and Technology are on charity mission to support health facilities in Kumasi.

The latest to benefit from their benevolence are the University and Manhyia District Hospitals which reived 5,000 cedis worth of medical equipment and cash.

The items include digital thermometer and pulse oxymeter,  furniture, wheel chairs and  mosquito nets.

The group also donated cash to cater for bills of some patients on admission at the facilities.

Oyet Mgbo who leads the International Students Association says the gesture is their contribution to helping the underprivileged in society.

Dr. Halima Salam of the Manhyia Paediatric Unit who received the items was full of praise for the gesture
