The fourth suspect accused of gang-raping a young lady captured in a video that has gone viral has been arrested by police in Kumasi.
The suspect, believed to be hiding in Accra turned himself in Wednesday afternoon.
His arrest comes as three other suspects arrested in connection with the alleged rape are remanded into police custody by the Asokwa District Court to reappear on December 27, 2017.
The court presided by His Worship Peter Oppong-Boahen is yet to take the plea of the teenagers despite appearing twice in two days.
This means their counsel cannot apply for bail for them as they were remanded into prison custody for the second time in two days.
Three other accomplices involved in the alleged crime are still on the run.
Unlike their first appearance on Tuesday, the suspects came to court today with a lawyer, John Boamah.
The prosecution told the court investigations are on-going as efforts continue to trace the fugitives.
Lawyer Boamah says he is unable to ask for bail for his clients until their plea is taken.
"According to the police, investigations are still ongoing. But once the investigation is ongoing, there is no way you will ask for bail. The plea has not been taken," he said.
He also appealed to journalists to be circumspect in their reportage on matters concerning juveniles like his clients.
