The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has expressed gratitude to President John Agyekum Kufuor, Mrs Gifty Affenyi-Dadzie, a member of Council of State and Archbishop Charles Palmer Buckle, Accra Metropolitan Archbishop for honouring their invitation to the 12th GJA awards ceremony.
A statement signed by Mr. Bright Blewu, General Secretary of the Association said GJA also expressed gratitude to all other individuals, organizations and dignitaries, including the Minister of Information and National Orientation, her deputy and the chairman of the National Media Commission for gracing the event.
The statement said the association was again grateful to all sponsors of the event, especially GNA, MTN, Unilever-Ghana, Graphic Communications Group Limited, Guinness Ghana Limited, Ministry of Information, Voltic Natural Mineral Water, Unique Trust Financial Services Limited, United Bank of Africa Limited, COCOBOD, Combert Impressions and all media partners.
The rest were GOIL, Newmont Ghana Gold Limited, National Health Insurance Council, TT Brothers, Accra Metropolitan Assembly, British Airways and KEK Insurance Brokers.
It said GJA looked forward to greater collaboration with corporate bodies, government and Non-governmental organizations, civil society groups and private individuals in its efforts to promote high journalistic standards and media accountability.
