Kuffour pleaded not guilty and will re-appear on September 4.
Police Inspector Abraham Agyei Mensah, told the court presided over by Mr Frank Owusu-Afriyie that on August 7 this year, Abena Nkansah, the complainant returned from a funeral and was asleep around 19:30 hours.
He said Kuffour suddenly entered the complainant’s room and without any provocation insulted and later slapped her on the face and she fell unconscious.
