Ghana’s Black Starlets will begin their quest to dazzle the world at the ongoing FIFA Under-17 World Cup in South Korea when they meet the Trinidad and Tobago in their first Group F encounter on Monday, August 20. The match is scheduled to begin at 12:00 GMT.
The Starlets would hope to follow the example set by Nigeria on Sunday when they beat former champions France by a lone goal.
Two-time world champions the Starlets’ match against the Trinidad and Tobago who are appearing in the youth championships for the first time will be seen as a test case for the Ghanaians. This match is seen as a test of the Starlets’ quest to repeat history as they have done twice already in the youth edition of the FIFA competition.
