Desmond Aryee wins 2017 GNPC Ghana Fastest Human

Desmond Aryee from the Greater Accra Region and a product of the University of Ghana defied all odds to retain his title as the 2017 GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human in the100meters Senior’s event at the Kumasi Sports Stadium over the weekend.

He was timed 10.71secs, whilst Shadrack Opoku Agyeman from the Ashanti region placed second with a time of 10.81secs with Ansah Sarfo also from the Ashanti Region placing third in 10.82secs.

Hor Halutie won the Female Senior’s race in 11.88secs, ahead of Faustina Amoah of Ashanti and Mary Sam from the Western Region.

Samuel Asare of Prempeh College in the Ashanti Region run 10.75secs to win the Boys Under 18. Whilst Edwin Gadayi Kwablah of TI Amadihya Senior High placed second with a time of 10.88secs with Oscar Ntim of Pankrono School also in the Ashanti Region placing third.

In the Girls Under 18, Rafiatu Nuhu of K-Gee in the Ashanti Region came first in a time of 12.25secs, followed by Mary Boakye of Kumasi Anglican SHS with a time of 12.41secs and Grace Obour of TI Amadihya in third place with 12.42secs.

Esther Ocloo of Ghana SHS in the Eastern Region won the Girls Under 15 in 12.81secs. The second was Doris Afriyie of TI Ahmadiyya in 12.91secs and Linda Amponsah of WESCO placing third.

Abdulai Muzakir of St. Joseph JHS in the Northern Region won the boys Under 15 in 11.99secs, followed by Razak Sulley of St. Cyprians School in 12.24secs with Emmanuel Tetteh of Unipra South JHS in the Central Region coming in third with a time of 12.29secs.

The Girls Under 10 was taken by Charity Dadzie of New Paradise in 14.10secs, followed by Charlotte Aseiduwaa of Kotei – Deduako M/A School in 14.45secs with Abogail Biney of Amankwatia School third in 14.67secs.

Alhassan Abdulai of Savelugu M/A School in the Northern Region won the Boys Under 10 in 13.39secs. with Jeffery Opoku Jnr of TI Amadihya in the Ashanti Region placing second in 13.41secs with Isaac Benyako of Old Tafo R/C Primary School placingvthird in 13.82secs.
