Hundreds of motorists participated in the Goil Corporate Day Out event dubbed 'GOILY DAY' organized at three selected filling stations in the Accra-Tema Metropolis last Thursday.
The three selected stations were the Goil filling station on the Osu Oxford Street opposite SSNIT Hospital, the Goil filling station on the Kaneshie-Odorkor Road near Accra Academy and Tema Community One Goil filling station near Tema Casino.
Enthusiastic Patrons and customers of the largest and longest-existing oil marketing company in Ghana besieged the filling stations to meet, interact and present their complaints to some high-ranking officials who were there to serve and appreciate the buying public.
The 'GOILY DAY' also enabled Goil workers to get closer to both existing and potential customers, share information on Goil products and services and attend to customers' complaints.
At the Oxford Street filling station, the event which was presented live on JOY FM by Bola Ray turned out to be fun-filled as it attracted popular musicians like Samini, K.K. Fosu and BUK BAK, who also interacted with GOIL's top officials including Madam Faustina Nelson, board member; Mr. Kojo Bonsu, the Acting Managing Director; Mr. S. Y. Gyaben, Solicitor Secretary and Funny Face aka Chemu of Chokor Trotro fame (Face of Goil).
Two board members - Messers Chris Ackummey and Eugene Akoto-Bamfo; and Mr. Patrick Akorli, Finance Manager led the Goil team to the Kaneshie-Odorkor filling station where their interaction with customers was carried live on Radio Gold.
Mr. Charles Darko, Fuels Marketing Mananger, Mr. Ofori Sarkwaah, Chief Internal Auditor and Mr. J.B.A. Ansah, Administrative Manager were among the Goil workers who interacted with motorists at the Tema Community One Filling Station. Adom FM carried the interactions live on their afternoon drive programme, "Kwansobrebre".
Motorists who took part in the 'GOILY DAY' activities were given Goil souvenirs.
