Prof. Stephen Adei, Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), has denied allegations leveled against him by the Ghanaian Observer newspaper.
In publications carried in the Observer this week, the paper claims that the Rector awarded himself the academic honour of Professor.
In his first public reaction to the allegations, some of which have been made on Joy FM, Prof. Adei said while the Institute welcomes media interest in its activities, the publications have been based on complete falsehood and twisted facts supplied by people who have been separated for various reasons or are making demands that the management of GIMPA cannot oblige.
The statement adds that GIMPA is moving forward along its chosen path of excellence and that he will continue to demand of staff, the highest quality of service that GIMPA has come to be associated with including separation of non-performing ones.
