George Ashie, one of the youngest boxing sensations in the country is likely to test his strength against hard punching Maxwell Sarfo for the National Lightweight title in September.
This follows an acceptance from Ashie's camp to take up a 1, 500 GHC (15 million cedi) challenge from the Kumasi based-boxer.
Al Hamilton, manager of Ashie told the GNA Sports on Tuesday that his camp is ready for the challenge and will face Sarfo on any given day, adding that his ward has been in the best of shapes for any opponent.
Ashie's camp has on many occasions offered to fight Sarfo, but the latter had always insisted on the 1,500 GHC purse before taking up the challenge.
The latest arrangement therefore means that Sarfo will be smiling home with 1,500 GHC if he wins the long awaited fight.
Al Hamilton said he considers the challenge as a worthy one for his ward who he said is gearing to take up tougher opponents on the international scene.
According to Mr Hamilton, the fight will be the top of the Bill of the next promotion to be organised by the Commonwealth Sports Awards in Ghana.
Ashie was a discovery in the maiden edition of the Mortein Boxing League and has since been a strong contender for the national title.
