The Ghana football association President Kwasi Nyantakyi believes the presence of Kevin Prince Boateng in the black stars is vital.
The German born-Ghanaian footballer announced his decision to quit the international football last week. His resignation came as a shock to many Ghanaians who were expecting to see him help the black stars win the AFCON 2012 in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
Mr. Nyantakyi in an interview with joy sports underlined the overwhelming importance of midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng to the success of the Black Stars.
According to him, he will like the player return to the black stars but it remains unclear if the football association has any plans to convince the play maker to rescind his decision.
“We need him, he is a very good player and we need good players”. Nyantakyi told JOY Sports.
He added that, the player will be welcomed if he decides to come back to the team.
