A Kumawu Circuit Court has fined Okyeame Owusu-Toah 44, a farmer, GH¢200 (Two million cedis) on his own plea for felling timber illegally at Bodomase in the Sekyere East District. He would serve 12 months imprisonment in default. Police Chief Inspector Anthony Godfred Sakyi, prosecuting told the court presided over by Mr Frank Owusu-Sekyere that on July 3, this year, Forest Services Division officials arrested the driver of a Kia truck with 60 pieces of 'wawa' boards valued at GH¢120(1.2 million cedis).
