A group of aggrieved members of the Ghana Olympic Committee want to contest last Saturday's election in court.
They comprise old executives and have raised the red flag over the manner in which the new executives were elected into office.
The Ghana Olympic Committee elective congress was clouded by confusion after the two factions failed to reach a consensus.
The election observer, Joao Manuel Algre Alfonso, angrily had to leave the auditorium as the two groups traded accusations.
But the Sao Tome and Principe man returned to supervise the elections which run into the next day-by which time one of the factions was not around.
Professor Francis Duodu, president of Ghana Athletics, was elected president and 18 other members handed elective positions.
The aggrieved members have pointed out the flaws in the electoral process.
"In the state of confusion, we departed as the observer and BT Baba left the congress ground at 9:00 pm and did not hear anything until the following day that we heard that at 2am some people have been sworn-in," Mohammed Sahnoon, president of Ghana Cycling told Joy Sports.
"They were not candidates as required by the GOC. They didn’t file their nominations and these are the issues which have arisen as a result of that particular conduct.
"The observer sent by the IOC had no business to really go back there to deal with issues he wasn't concerned with.
"He is just only to observe and report and not to conduct elections."
