Aduana Stars forward Bernard Dong Bortey has joined Vietnamese champions Song Lam Nghe An on a season-long loan deal.
According to footyghana.com sources, Dong Bortey, who is already in Vietnam, will soon sign a loan deal beginning 1st November 2011 to 31st August 2012, and former champions Aduana Stars are expected to receive an amount in the region of $30,000 for the loan deal.
Footyghana.com investigations reveal that Song Lam Nghe An will have the option of offering Dong Bortey a 2 year deal if he impresses.
The V-League is set to begin in January 2012. Dong Bortey is in the second year of his three year contract with Aduana Stars.
When reached on telephone, Dong Bortey told footyghana.com that all was well at his new base, adding that he played in a friendly match for his new club Wednesday.
"I played my first match for the club yesterday and it was good. So far, I have been made to feel at home by the coaching staff."
Meanwhile, the Operations Director of Aduana Stars, George Gyawu has also told footyghana.com that the two clubs are ironing out the final details of the contract.
"We are close to agreeing the deal with the Vietnamese club and soon the contracts will be signed for the player to spend a season on loan with them."
