With a year to the start of 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations tournament, Ghana, are in danger of losing the enviable rights of hosting the continent.
Ghana face being stripped off after the Vice Chairperson for the country's Women’s League Board admitted the West Africans are unprepared.
There has been no clear path for Ghana after winning the bid to host the eight-nation tournament with the Local Organizing Committee yet to be formed to oversee the successful organization of the tournament which kicks start in 460 days.
And Vice Chairperson of Ghana's Women's League Board, Rosalind Amoh is a worried woman.
“Personally I’m concerned and worried. There is nothing to show that we are prepared to host the tournament,” she is quoted by starrsportsgh
“How can we even start preparations when the LOC (Local Organizing Committee) has not even been named?”
She added: “We have always been crying to host the event. Now, we have it and it looks like we are not concerned or bothered about timing and preparations.”
The tournament is slated for November 2018.
