Afriyie Acquah could be on his way to England after Torino received an offer worth €8m (£7.2m) from Birmingham City.
The tough tackling midfielder is seen as the ideal man by manager Harry Redknapp to shore up his midfielder with tenacity and drive.
Redknapp seems keen on a player of Acquah’s profile having missed on compatriot Emmanuel Agyemang Badu.
Sources indicate Acquah is delighted about the prospect of moving to England and that could be the decisive factor in sealing the deal to the Championship side.
The midfielder showed all the aspects in his game last season scoring 2 in 20 Serie A appearances and also seeing red in 3 games.
Acquah, who was an integral member of Ghana’s squad that won silver at the 2015 Cup of Nations, has 28 caps and a goal to his credit.
