MTN Ghana has announced roaming discount offers for this year’s Hajj pilgrims.
A statement from the company said under the offer, MTN subscribers who would be visiting Saudi Arabia to perform the 2011 Hajj and or for business would be able to make significant savings on calls made on MTN by enjoying a whopping discount of between 30% - 96% on voice and data roaming services.
The Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana, Mr. Raul De said “MTN is committed to enriching the lives of our subscribers everywhere they go”.
“These offers are designed to ensure that pilgrims remain connected with their family, friends and loved ones and also enjoy real value for their money when they embark on this important journey”.
It said MTN would be interacting with the would-be pilgrims at the Hajj village to educate them on how to effectively maximize the benefits in the offer.
“We will continue to develop products and services to suit the needs of specific groups of consumers”, says Mr. De.
Hajj is one of the 5 pillars of Islam which enjoins Muslims to make a pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in their life time.
The statement said MTN remained committed to enriching the lives of its subscribers with innovative products and services through timely interventions. MTN Ghana has for the past years supported the annual Salafest celebrations.
