Mubarak Wakaso has decided to continue his career in Spain by agreeing to sign a contract with topflight side Deportivo Alaves.
The Ghana international has penned a three-year deal with the La Liga outfit following his exit from Greek giants Panathinaikos F.C.
Alaves confirmed the news on their website on Monday afternoon; Deportivo Alavés has closed the incorporation of Wakaso Mubarak. The midfielder comes from Panathinaikos and has signed a contract for the next three seasons, after passing the relevant medical examination.
The new player, 26, can act both in the center and the bands and has an important experience in LaLiga after passing through Granada, Espanyol and Villarreal, among others.
Wakaso was born on 25 July 1990 in Tamale, Ghana. The new shipbuilder started his career at Ashanti Gold. His good game soon attracted attention and in 2008 he came to LaLiga from Elche CF.
The midfielder has developed most of his career in this competition and also has experience in European competitions. Last season, the player came yielded in the winter market to Granada CF, where he played 11 games, scored a goal and gave an assist.
His outstanding performances in LaLiga led Wakaso to debut in 2012 with the Ghana National Team. With the combined of his country has disputed 49 parties, with participation in World-wide Brazil 2014 included.
Deportivo Alavés wants to welcome Wakaso and wishes him good luck in his new stage as albiazul. You are welcome!
The 26-year earned the move following his impressive exploits on loan at Granada last season.
Alaves becomes the sixth La Liga club for Wakaso having enjoyed successful stints at Elche, Villarreal, Espanyol, Las Palmas as well as Granada.
His super goal for Las Palmas was voted one of the best in the 2015/16 season.
