Former Black Stars defender John Mensah says he is still active and is not thinking of retiring from professional football.
Mensah has been out of action for some time now due to an injury.
The 34-year old who until his injury was playing for Swedish second tier club Athletic FC United insists he is not done
"I got injured while in Sweden, I couldn't play league matches for my team but I was always training with them," he told Joy Sports.
"Injury has kept me out but very soon I will come back and start playing games for my team.
Mensah who played the Black Stars for over a decade wants a return to the national team.
He feels he can make a return to coach Kwasi Appiah's team if he starts playing active football.
"I know if I start playing active football I will be called back into the team because the only way to get in there is to play active football.
"I still have what it takes to play in the national team, I just have to start playing active football and I will be back to compete in the team."
