More than 300 people of Gomoa Dago in the Central Region are set to benefit from a free Medical Outreach programme, sponsored by Ghana International School.
The free medical outreach programme will take place on Saturday 1 October, 2011 to mark the forthcoming installation of their new Obaatan, Obrempon Kofi Son I. The new Obaatan, also known as Mr Josiah Wilson Ampiah, has been a Board Director of Ghana International School for many years and with the full support of the School, the medical outreach programme was devised as a gift from him to his people.
Explaining the reason for the medical outreach, Obrempon Kofi Son I said, “This programme is my contribution towards the development of my people. We need to make sure we have healthy people in order to progress positively. Ghana International School kindly offered to sponsor the programme as part of their communty service initiative.”
The Medical Outreach programme will commence at 9am until 2.30pm. The Doctors leading the programme are Dr Adwoa Kwansema Ampiah, an Optometrist and Dr Patrick Anum, General Practitioner.
SEQUEL INDIA, a pharmaceutical company is providing their drugs which have been approved for use on the local market to support the programme. People who attend will receive eye tests, spectacles, blood pressure checks, malaria medication and an overall basic medical check-up.
