1. Latex vs. Polyurethane
Condoms are usually made of polyurethane or latex. Latex is more common and available in more countries. To ensure the integrity of the material, latex condoms can only be used with water based lubricants, don't use oil based lubricants like Vaseline because they break the latex down. On the other hand, polyurethane condoms are thinner than latex. So, you can feel more through them, increasing the sensitivity. Many people prefer polyurethane condoms' appearance and feel. They are more expensive than latex condoms and you may need to use more lubrication on them.
2. Lubrication
Although many couples add lubrication to their condoms, many do come with some lubrication built right in. That's something to check out on the label when purchasing condoms. Some condoms have a silicone substance on them and others contain a water-based lubricant. The lubrication will make them easier to put on and more comfortable to use.
3. Shapes and Sensation
The shape of condoms can affect the sensitivity. Some have a plain tip, but most have a reservoir tip. It's up to you which shape you choose. The differences are meant to suit your preference and enhance your pleasure. Condoms may have straight sides, which is a regular shape, be indented below the penis' head, which is called form fit, or be flared out, which means they're wider over the head of the penis. Ribbed condoms offer perhaps the best sensation. They have bumps or ribs along the sides, which increases feeling for both partners. Some have the ribs along the base of the condom for a wild sensation.
4. Look at all the Choices
This day and age, condoms come in various colors, sizes, shapes and even flavors. And, they have names like Play Tingling, Play Warming and Play More. Each one adds something special to your sexual experience. With assorted lubricants, you can experience a range of pleasurable sensations. Some have gentle warming lubricants, which warms on contact to enhance pleasure. Others feature tingly lube, which is long lasting for increase pleasure. A natural feeling condom feels like you're not using one at all.
5. Variety Pack
As you experiment with different condoms and the sensation they each offer, it's a good idea to buy a variety pack. They usually come in 12 packs and include several different kinds of condoms. From ribbed condoms for extra stimulation, warming condoms that release gentle warm sensations for both partners to extra thin condoms to maximize feeling, there are from plenty from which to choose.
