Swansea City have reportedly submitted a bid of £500,000 to Barnsley for Ghana defender Andy Yiadom.
The full back has been a target for several clubs in England including Newcastle United and Championship side Aston Villa.
However, reports emerging indicate Swansea City are frontrunners to sign the player as they look to find competition for full backs Kyle Naughton and Martin Olsson.
Yiado, who made 33 appearances for Barnsley last season, is priced at £2 million.
The 25-year-old was capped three times by England C, but was called up by Ghana for the African Cup of Nations in January this year.
Since his international call up, Yiadom has been capped twice by the Black Stars, making his debut in a 1-0 defeat to Egypt and in the play-off defeat game against Burkina Faso.
