Officials of Premier League side Mighty Jets have suspended an earlier decision to sell the club.
The club’s president and sole financier, Abubakar Nallah popularly known as Abu Sundoko is in court battling a drugs charge and that has affected their finances.
Mighty Jets claim they were unsuccessful in getting a potential buyer after putting a notice for sale on the club.
Mighty Jets Chief Executive, Jordan Anagblah told JOY Sports, “We’ve tried all avenues and since there is no buyer, we will take that out of our minds.”
He added that, “We have just finished registering players so we are getting ready to play next season. This time around it is going to be a different story. It is going to be a youthful game with 90 percent new players mostly youth players in the team. I believe they will prove their worth.”
Mighty Jets, which battled relegation last term, is now preparing for their league opener against reigning champions Berekum Chelsea on October 9 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
