The Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana has adjudged Multimedia Broadcasting Company, operators of JOY FM and five other media outlets, Media Organization of the Year 2006, at its 18th awards night.
The station’s Saturday morning programme, Home Affairs also won Radio Programme of the Year.
CIMG awarded Multimedia; operators of Joy FM, Adom FM, Luv FM, Hits 103.7, Asempa and Myjoyonline.com, for its contribution to national development through more innovative programs with wider national coverage.
But the biggest award of the night; Marketing Man of the Year, went to the Chief Executive of Unique Trust, Prince Kofi Amoabeng.
CIMG awards organisations and individuals for excellence and innovation in marketing.
The CIMG award is the latest addition to Multimedia and JOY FM’s growing list of awards this year.
Joy FM was earlier this year adjudged the Best Radio Station in West Africa and the second best on the continent.
On Saturday night, the Multimedia group took home again two more awards for innovation, wider coverage, societal impact and market growth.
Last year, JOY FM’s current affairs programme, Newsfile won CIMG’s Best Radio Programme of the year.
JOY FM and Multimedia were again among some twenty-six organizations and individuals who won CIMG awards last night.
Unique Trust’s handcuff advert emerged the Best Outdoor Advert of the Year. Managing Director of Exim Guaranty Company, Felicity Acquah is the Marketing Woman of the Year and Ghana News Agency’s Patricia Akpene Tegbe is the Marketing Student of the Year.
MTN’s wireless office won the Print Advert of the Year, Radio Advert of the went to Kasapa’s night calls and Metro TV’s Thank God It’s Friday is the TV programme of the Year.
