54-year-old Annie Southerland was caught allegedly stealing clothes from a donation box outside of Saint Anthony Catholic Church, located in Lakeland, Florida, the incident was caught by a surveillance camera.
On Sunday, May 14 and on Saturday, June 3, are the two times Annie is believed to have stolen clothes from the church. The surveillance footage shows Annie driving to the back of the Catholic church, opening the donation box, emptying it of all the bags of clothes and placing the donated clothes into the back of her white Ford Taurus.
The church contacted the police after becoming suspicious of the missing clothes, they showed the police the footage showing the theft. The police were able to identify the clothes thief to be Annie after tracing her cars number tags back to her.
On Wednesday, June 7th, Annie Southerland was arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft, she is being held in Polk County Jail on a $1,500 bond.
