Heritage Bank Limited one of the latest entrants into the Ghanaian Banking Industry, has signalled its preparedness to revolutionise the Banking experience in Ghana.
The wholly indigenous bank announced its presence with the launch of an ultra-modern flagship branch on Lagos Avenue, East Legon in Accra, Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering, Managing Director of the bank, Patrick Edwin Fiscian, acknowledged the public excitement regarding the revolutionary architectural design of the East Legon Branch.
He commented that the outstanding layout and ambience of the building is indicative of the refreshing customer experience that Heritage Bank is geared to deliver.
“In our bid to transform the Banking experience in Ghana, we have placed emphasis on maximising convenience for our customers by listening to them in order to have a deep understanding of what they need and want.
"This helps us craft and fashion our banking services for each individual need. This approach will certainly usher in a new era of convenience in banking, providing the reliable and customised banking experience that customers seek,” he said.
Board Member for Heritage Bank John Bayuo Warisa also reiterated the assertion that Heritage Bank has come to revolutionise the Banking Experience in Ghana by providing bespoke services that meet the peculiar needs of diverse customer segments.
In the guest speaker’s keynote address, Raymond Amanfu, the Head of Banking Supervision at the Bank of Ghana (BoG), lauded the Board and Management of Heritage Bank Limited for their vision and courage in taking the bold step to start up a globally competitive banking institution right here in Ghana.
He urged them to comply stringently with regulatory standards, prioritise excellent corporate governance practices and explore home-grown innovations in order to build customized solutions that would meet the peculiar needs of Ghanaian customers.
Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, who was a guest of honour also made a few remarks during the launch ceremony. He stated that he was excited that Heritage Bank has chosen to open this plush edifice within his community thereby creating job opportunities and providing world-class banking services for Ghanaians.
He also stated that he would open an account immediately and urged others to open an account to be a part of Heritage Banks success-story.
Other august persons who graced the launch were Seth Kwame Acheampong; MP for Mpraeso, Collins Owusu-Amankwah; MP for Manhyia North, Theophilus Ahwireng; CEO of Ghana Petroleum Commission, Felix Addo; former Senior Partner at KPMG Ghana and Andrew Osei Akoto; Partner in charge of Risk and Compliance, KPMG Ghana.
