The Association for peace and Development, a local NGO operating in the Northern regions of Ghana has expressed revulsion about the over concentration on the negative side of the wiki leaks publications of diplomatic cable from the United States of American about Ghana.
In a statement issued to the media in Accra, the group stated that, it was hugely unfair for the main political parties in the country- the NPP and the NDC in particular to embark on what it described as “chooce and pick” of the negatives in the publications against each other but are deliberately silent on the positives of the same publications.
The statement said, Hackman Owusu Agyamang, Prof. Mike Ocquay, Hon Boniface Abubakar Saddique among other past ministers of state received praises for their works but nobody was mentioning it.
The association also bemoaned the utterance of the Youth in connection to the wiki leaks publications. “As the future leaders of the country it was imperative for the Youth to emulate hon. Abubakar Saddique Boniface a Youthful personality who score high marks per the cables among other persons released” the stated added.
Ghanaians according to the report must be cautious in their commentaries and conclusions in relation to the released cables and also urged that politicians and even non politicians be cautious of their utterances both in public and even at private places.
