Mr. Godfried Okyere, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayensuano has announced that the government has awarded on contract some feeder roads in the Suhum Kraboa Coaltar District.
The MP said that the roads that would be rehabilitated included Adinidim, Aboabo Zonkor, Dome Akyeansa, Kwaboanta, Govinakrom, Dokrochiwa Suhum, Mfranta Kwadjohum and Amafrom, after inspecting the Adinidim road.
According to Mr. Okyere, the poor nature of the roads was affecting socio-economic activities, especially the transportation of foodstuffs to the market centres.
He said the rehabilitation would be completed by the end of the year to facilitate economic activities and urged the people to clear weeds along the roads.
The MP inspected electricity poles donated by government for electrification projects at Sowatey, Anum Apapam and Kwano and said in all six towns in the constituency would be connected to the national grid before the end of the year.
He advised the people to assist contractors working on the projects to enable them complete the work on schedule.
