The Selecao of Brazil again underlined their supremacy over the Black Stars of Ghana with a well deserved 1-0 victory in an international friendly at Craven Cottage, England.
The Stars were a man down at half time and the Selecao made no mistake at all with Leonardo opening the account on the stroke of half time.
Indeed the results would have been embarrassing, but a certain Adam Kwarasey who earned is second cap for the Black Stars in three days found breathtaking antidotes to the wizardry of Ronaldinho.
What looked like an electric evening of fluid football turned dull and lopsided in favour of the Brazilians after Daniel Opare was sent for a second bookable offence.
It was harsh but the Ghanaians at a point looked emasculated and got too physical with Derek Boateng and Jonathan Mensah being the worst culprits.
But it was the Black Stars who settled quickly and nearly got their noses in front in the first minute but a sliding Jordan Ayew connection to a Sulley Muntari cross on the right took a ricochet for a corner kick.
The Stars had another opportunity to draw first blood but Samuel Inkoom on the left failed in his first touch and only managed a lazy cross which went behind on coming Jordan Ayew who had only the Brazilian goal keeper staring.
The Brazilians then took over with great combination from Neymar, Ronaldinho and Leonardo which left the Ghanaian midfield jittery and chasing their shadows.
In the 29th minute, one such sublime build up between Neymar and Ronaldinho cut the Ghanaian defence wide open with Leonardo burying the ball beyond the approaching Ghanaian goalie, Kwarasey but that was ruled offside.
In the 34th minute Opare was given a quick shower after a late challenge on Lucio.
On the 45th minute mark Fernandinho spotted a great run from Leornardo and delivered a sumptuous through ball which caught the Ghana defence men of Mensah and Vorsah flat footed.
Leonardo struck low which beat the overstretched leg of Kwarasey for the opener.
Back from recess, Stevanovic brought on Rabiu Mohammed and Lee Addy for his experienced duo of Derek Boateng and Sulley Muntari but that did not affect the mood of the Brazilians.
Ronaldinho was superb with his immaculate crosses one of which was headed powerfully by Pato and looked goal bound. But somehow, Kwarasey in stupendous diving fashion flipped the ball with his fingertip for a corner in the 80th minute.
Five minutes later the two highlights of the game Ronaldinho and Kwarasey again exhibited mastery in their arts; Ronaldinho executed a trademark free-kick which was well bent and net bound but Kwarasey again pulled it off to save the withered blushes of the Stars.
One goal to nil it ended; a third consecutive defeat forced down the throat of the Black Stars by Brazil.
