OmniBank has commissioned a business centre at the Pentecost University College as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility for 2017.
The centre is to provide easy access to information and aid student research at the University. It will also offer other administrative services as well as printing and photocopying services.
Fitted with state of the art equipment, the cause will go a long way to improve academic life on campus.
The project underscores the relationship between OmniBank and the church of Pentecost.
OmniBank has and continues to support the University in various areas such as mentoring, internship and providing employment opportunities for some of the graduates.
Some students also enjoy financial support for academic from the bank.
As an SME Bank with a special focus on schools development, OmniBank has supported many schools in Ghana to expand and/or upgrade their facilities.
Notable among them is the commissioning of a sports complex for the Light Academy early this year.
The bank hopes with the commissioning of the centre, it will impact not only on the quality of life on campus but will also show in academic performance.
Head of Corporate Banking of OmniBank, Mrs. Ohenewaa Sekyi said, the centre will offer Mobile Banking services to students as well as facilitate academic work.
She implored students to adopt a good maintenance culture to safeguard the equipment and installations.
The project which was estimated at a GHS120.000 was commissioned by Mr. Philip Oti Mensah, Managing Director of OmniBank with the outgoing SRC President, Emmanuel Kofi Opoku.
Other guests present were the Librarian- Michael W. K. Gyimah, Dean of students - Rev. Paul Danso, Chaplain - Rev. Nelson Adu and EDM - Felix Atsrim.
