Mr. Charles Modom, a former assemblyman for Bontibor/Salifukrom electoral area in the Nkwanta District, has appealed to the government to upgrade the five-kilometer road stretch between Bontibor and Pusupu.
Mr. Modom made the appeal when he led the Bontibor community to fill potholes and gullies the road has developed.
He said vehicles were not willing to transport foodstuffs from the area to the marketing centers and farmers from Bontibor had to carry their foodstuffs over five kilometres to Pusupu to board vehicles to the marketing centers.
Mr Modom expressed appreciation to the government for reconstructing the bridge that links Bontibor to the rest of the country.
