Ghana striker Junior Agogo was handed his debut for Scottish side Hibernian on Sunday when they were beaten 4-1 Kilmarnock.
The 32-year-old returned to the game after a one-year injury-induced absence.
He came on as a second-half substitute but he could not help his side from going down.
The striker will now turn his attention to fighting for place in the Ghana team as he has not played for the Black Stars since 2009.
Agogo, who was a key player for the Black Stars during the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, joined Hibernian last month on a one-year deal.
But a thigh injury he suffered during training prevented him from making his debut for Hibernian two weeks ago.
He was expected to play his first game against Inverness late July and also sat out a friendly against Sunderland.
Capped 27 times, Agogo has a highly respectable return of 12 goals.
