Midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu claims his Udinese side have the qualities to advance to the Uefa Champions League Group stage at the expense of giants Arsenal.
The 21-year-old and compatriot Kwadwo Asamoah will travel with the Italian side to the Emirates Stadium on 16 August for the first leg and the return leg on 24 August.
Badu has been fighting for more playing time this season after making only five appearances last term.
The 2009 Fifa Under-20 World Cup winner is optimistic of his team’s chances against an impressive Arsenal side.
“Arsenal is a good side but we are going there to play to qualify. We are not scared of them. I know people have written us off but one can’t tell what will happen in football,” a confident Badu told GHANAsoccernet.com on pre-season in Spain.
“We have had one of the best preparations this pre-season and I believe the team will be in top shape for this match.”
Badu had a good off-season this summer by scoring two goals in four international matches for Ghana.
