The management of British Council has announced the temporary closure of its Learning Centres in Accra and Kumasi to the public from Friday, August 3 to Saturday September 1.
A statement issued in Accra by Ms Diana Yanney, an official of the Council said they would re-open on Monday, September 3.
It said they were being closed as a result of the continued energy crisis; building refurbishment works in Accra and refurbishment and servicing of their stand-by generator in Kumasi.
The statement said any inconvenience caused to its customers was deeply regretted however, "we are confident that at the end of August normal services will resume".
However, it said the Council would continue to provide services such as Education UK counselling, Examinations registration and school partnerships during August.
The Council is the UK's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations operating in 220 towns and cities in 110 countries worldwide.
It builds relationships and understanding between people in the UK and other countries and increases appreciation of UK's ideas and achievements overseas.
The Council a non-political organisation that operates at arm's length from government, focuses on creativity, education and civil society.
