Prince Armah, Western Regional Coordinator of the Allan Kyeremanten campaign team has appealed to all presidential aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to conduct their campaigns devoid of insults, character assassination and division.
"We want to inherit a strongly-knit party that supports each other and promotes the ideas of the Danquah-Busia tradition," he said at a press conference at Sekondi.
He said the some of the campaign messages were damaging, destructive and could ruin the future of the party.
"We must avoid campaigns that are characterised by vilification, vindictiveness and innuendos and work together to promote unity, solidarity and equal opportunities for all" Mr. Armah said.
Mr. Armah said if these acts were not avoided, the beauty of democracy and its attendant freedom of association and choice would be marred.
