Abedi Pele has thrown his support behind Kwesi Appiah as he prepares to take charge of the Black Stars.
Kwesi Appiah returned to the country last weekend to finalize the deal concerning his return and begin a two year contract which will begin on May 1.
His appointment has been widely supported by former footballers and administrators and the latest to throw his weight behind him is his former team mate Abedi Ayew.
The 1992 Black Stars captain is wishing Appiah the best of luck and hoping for a successful second stint.
“I wish Kwesi Appiah all the best.I believe those who chose him to be the Black Stars coach have done a good job.”
“I wish him the best of luck because I believe he can do the job for the country. I have nothing much to say about him but what I can say about him is that he is good person and we have known him for that.” He added.
Abedi Pele won the Africa Footballer of the year in 1991, 1992 and 1993 and won the Champions League with Olympic Marseille in the 1992-93 season.
