Thirty senior staff of the Ghana Investment Promotion centre (GIPC) have undergone a two-day training session on Multicultural Communication, in Accra.
They were trained in multicultural communication strategies and skills to communicate in a more professional and appropriate manner. The training session is in line with the GIPC’s mandate of promoting investment into the Ghanaian economy which cuts across different cultures of the globe.
Addressing the participants the Director of Finance, Administration and MIS, Dr. Peter Ankrah, reminded them that the Workshop is to sharpen their skills in multicultural communication since the mandate of the GIPC in promoting investment into the economy cuts across virtually all sectors and involves dealing with business executives globally.
He said, this particular training programme on multi-cultural communication is targeted at GIPC staff in the frontline division that deals directly and daily with foreign investors. He expressed the hope that after the training, the staff would be able to interact effectively with investors from various racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
