Ghana defeated Nigeria in an epic five goal thriller in an International Federation of Skate Soccer (IFSS) clash at the Independence Square in Accra, which left a packed crowd sitting on tenterhooks.
The game which was sponsored by Binatone Ghana Limited, was the first international skate soccer meeting between the two sides, and ended 3-2 to Ghana’s Black Skates
Ghana’s captain Gariba Saani, was involved in all three goals for his side, scoring once and providing two assists on the day which won him the goal king award.
The most valuable player award went to Nigeria’s dribbling machine Sas who entertained the crowd with his brilliant array of skills scoring one and providing an assist.
Skate soccer is a game which helps talented but physically challenged persons found on the streets to harness their skills on the Skate Board.
Ghana becomes the first country to win the Binatone Intentional cup as this is the first time they play a team from outside the country.
