Manager Pep Guardiola has vowed to bring Champions League glory to Manchester City.
Guardiola is one of the most successful managers in the Champions League but the Spaniard failed to reach the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time in his career as manager after his City side suffered elimination at the hands of Monaco in the Round of 16 stage last night.
The defeat would surely have come as a huge disappointment for Guardiola but the 46-year-old has insisted that he remains more determined than ever to guide City to triumph in the competition in the foreseeable future.
Guardiola said: "I came here to win the Champions League?
"I tried, I tried - and I will try again.
"Playing like we have done this season, like in the second half, would have been enough.
"The competition is so demanding. Hopefully we are going to learn so that, next season, we can come back here and make the same performance we did at the Etihad for the whole 90 minutes."
