Black Stars forward Kwadjo Asamoah is excited about the opportunity to play in the UEFA Champions League next season.
Asamoah had a good season with Serie A side Udinese who recorded a fourth place finish behind Napoli, Inter Milan and winners AC Milan.
Kwadjo Asamoah joins fellow Black Stars players Michael Essien, Samuel Inkoom, Andre Dede Ayew, Hans Adu Sarpei who have all played in the prestigious competition in recent seasons.
Kwadjo Asamoah won the hearts of many Ghanaians after performing well in the iconic number ten jersey which had been vacated by then injured skipper Stephen Appiah.
He spoke to Joy Sports exclusively about his expectations of Europe’s most prestigious club competition.
“I am really happy for being part of the team and also my first time to have qualified for the Champions League,” he said.
“...We have to play the play-offs he said adding so all depend on us and we are still determined to qualify for the Champions League."
His only prayer is not to get any injury in the coming season.
